Flat fibre is an excellent material for seat weaving and basketry, for the beginner, because it is easy to work with.  It is made from durable paper, and is about one-half the price of flat reed.  One pound of flat fibre will do one chair seat, approximately 14" x 14".  We recommend the book  Splint Seats for Chairs.  Order Number: B0191 $2.75 each.

Fibre Wicker

This quality brown, tightly twisted, one ply paper is excellent for repair of antique "Lloyd Loom" wicker furniture, and is more economical than round reed. Of course, it is not as stiff as round reed, so it would not be recommended for spokes but is excellent for weavers.

Wire Rush
Wire rush is similar to the regular fibre rush except it has a strong wire running through the center. It is used in repairing the stakes of Lloyd Loom wicker furniture and some new wicker pieces.
