Raffia fibres come from the stems of the Raffia Palm imported from Madagascar, well known for its fine raffia with the best strength and durability. The individual fibres removed from the underside of the frond leaf can be dyed and woven into textiles, hats, mats and shoes. Also its an excellent tie-up for gardens as a natural string. Many horticulturalists use it for tying plant parts in the grafting process. |

| Natural Raffia - "Braided" | |||
Braided Raffia is an excellent and inexpensive way to buy Natural Raffia in cut lengths. The braid is not so tight that it makes Raffia curly. Many uses include decorative accents like garlic garlands, floral tyes and various gift arrangements. Each braid has a convenient braided tie or loop at one end making it easy to hang up. |
