Cane Webbing

Cane webbing is generally used in chair seats and backs where a groove has been routed in the frame. Cane webbing is also used for cabinet doors, speaker enclosures, vents, folding screens and much more. How to measure for the correct piece of webbing? It is best to measure the opening from groove to groove at the widest dimension in each direction, then add 2 inches to dimension when ordering.

Cane Webbing Kit
Description: This kit is great if you need to re-do a pressed cane seat, but are unsure of the exact size needs. Also, if you want to send material to a friend or family member who has a chair that needs re-doing but are unsure what sizes are required. This is great for re-sellers and do-it-yourselfers alike.

Price: $16.49 each.	Included: W901 1/2" open cane webbing for an 18" x 20" seat, 3 sizes of spline that will work in most chairs, wedges used to press the cane into the chair, and the instruction booklet.
W901 1/2" open cane webbing can be substituted for another type of webbing for an additional charge of $1.00

Reed Spline
Reed Spline is the wedge-shaped reed that is used to hold the cane webbing into the groove around the seat frame. Spline is flexible and is bent into coils for easy shipping. When in doubt about size, send a sample of the Spline from the chair. If you are routing a new groove, make the groove 1/16" deeper than the Spline to be used. All Spline sold in 7 ft lengths

Spline Chisel

Original Glue
This glue is ready to use and requires no further preparation. Its uniformity and high quality contribute to its superior performance because it sets slowly, allowing plenty of time for the cane to dry. It is water soluble and can be removed from unfinished wood with soaking.
