Made from quality plywood, each base is sanded smooth with rounded edges. An odd number of holes are drilled for easy continuous weaving. Use No. 4 round reed for the spokes. Vine Rattan

The perfect substitute for grapevines. It has the look of grapevine, but is more pliable, available year round and does not require boiling or days of soaking. Size is about 2 to 3.5mm (about 3/32" to 5/32" dia). Available in two colors; Natural (same color as round reed) and Smoked (earth tone). Put up in coils approximately one pound. This first quality broom corn is 22" long and put up in 1/2 pound bundles. Use it to make miniature brooms for "kitchen witches", regular brooms, hearth brooms and whisk brooms. Rattan Rings

Rings made of rattan are more sturdy than wood handles. A very popular and material for various other basketry projects, macrame and purses. Unlike wood hoops they can easily be drilled into. They are the only ring that can be reshaped to oval, by forcing a smaller ring over the larger ring, after soaking it in water.
