1.
All bamboo is guaranteed to be crooked - not straight. Some poles are
nearly straight.
2. All bamboo is guaranteed to be a different
color from the last time you bought it. Do let us know what color you
are looking for. The best way is to send us a sample.
3. All
bamboo is guaranteed to split. We do not ship split poles, but it may
split during shipment or during storage. Call for ideas on how to
reduce splitting.
4. All bamboo is guaranteed to taper and the
amount of taper will vary from pole to pole.

These 39 inch bamboo poles are sold with the root ball still attached which can be shaped and configured to suite the making of Shakuhachi flutes or for other interesting decorative effects. They are sold in natural colors of yellow or black. They are between 1 ¼” to 1 ½” diameters. They weight 2.5 lbs and can be easily shipped by parcel carriers such as UPS or thru the Post Office. These bamboo poles vary greatly from pole to pole. For custom orders and selections a $5.00 additional fee per pole is added. Please note that for custom orders, we are only able to select from what we have in stock, but will make every effort to get as close to your needs as possible |

Wangi |
These poles are cut from the root of the bamboo plant. They are blonde in color and more flexible than regular bamboo. Wangi can be bent and curved. The measurement is taken from between the nods of the bamboo and just like any bamboo will tend to taper slightly. The nods on each pole will vary there are approximately 4-6 nods per foot. |

Bamboo planks are cut to a uniform width, their entire length. They are approximately 1/4" to 5/16" thick. The BPF2-8T planks are specifically selected because they run towards the thicker dimension. They are useful for a wide variety of purposes. For ease of shipping, we can cut planks to length as we do bamboo. |
